The Pallet LOOP has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Dan McKane as Business Development Director, bringing more than 20 years of commercial and manufacturing experience across the UK construction and building materials sector.
Dan joins The Pallet LOOP from the Soprema Group, where he held a senior commercial leadership role working closely with manufacturing, supply chain and commercial teams across insulation, roofing and wider building envelope solutions. His background spans senior, manufacturing-led commercial leadership positions, giving him a detailed and practical understanding of how construction products are produced, distributed and sold through complex national supply chains.
Throughout his career, Dan has built an extensive network of senior industry relationships across manufacturers, national and regional builders’ merchants, buying groups and procurement stakeholders. He is widely recognised for his collaborative working style, deep sector knowledge and ability to align manufacturing realities with commercial priorities.
Dan is also a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Builders’ Merchants, reflecting his long-standing commitment to the builders’ merchant sector and the wider construction industry.
In his new role at The Pallet LOOP, Dan will focus on supporting construction manufacturers as they engage with the company’s circular pallet scheme and transition towards more sustainable pallet solutions.
