We are proud to announce that Gyproc Ireland has become the first building materials manufacturer in Ireland to join The Pallet LOOP, marking a significant step forward in promoting circularity and reducing waste across the sector.

From November 2025, Gyproc will begin distributing plaster and plasterboard products on The Pallet LOOP’s distinctive green pallets — engineered for durability and repeated reuse. Customers returning reusable LOOP pallets will receive a PayBack of €2/£2 to €4/£4 per green pallet, helping to cut waste and skip disposal costs while supporting a more sustainable supply chain.

CJ Sheeran is a key partner in this circular logistics initiative, overseeing daily pallet collections through its 13 depots across Ireland and Northern Ireland. With a network of over 400 merchant partners and a logistics team boasting more than 20 years of experience, CJ Sheeran facilitates over 14,000 collections annually, ensuring efficient, timely, and sustainable pallet recovery.

Andy Williamson, Managing Director at The Pallet LOOP, said: “Our mission is simple: design waste out of construction logistics. That’s why it’s fantastic to welcome Gyproc as our first manufacturing partner in Ireland. Partnering with Gyproc extends the reach of our reuse model across Ireland and Northern Ireland, making it easier than ever for sites to return pallets and receive meaningful value. With a PayBack of €2/£2 to €4/£4 per green pallet, we’re rewarding responsible behaviours while reducing carbon and cost for the entire sector.”

Kieran Holohan, Managing Director, Gyproc Ireland, said: “At Gyproc, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Our partnership with The Pallet LOOP and CJ Sheeran marks a major milestone in our journey toward a circular economy. By rethinking how we manage and reuse pallets, we’re not only reducing waste and carbon emissions, but also setting a new standard for responsible logistics in the construction sector.”

The partnership builds on British Gypsum and Isover’s successful adoption of green LOOP pallets for insulation products and aligns with Saint-Gobain’s broader sustainability goals to achieve net-zero carbon by 2050.
