The Pallet LOOP is pleased to announce that it has a new shareholder, BSW Timber Ltd. On Monday 5th December, BSW Timber announced the acquisition of Scott Pallets, together with all of its joint venture investments – which included a stake in The Pallet LOOP.

BSW Timber is a UK leading sawmilling and forest products company. The business is part of BSW Group, which also owns Tilhill, a specialist in all aspects of forest and woodland management.

BSW Group is, in turn, owned by Binderholz, a global company in the sawmill and solid wood processing industry in Europe, with around 5000 employees at 29 locations in Austria, Germany, Great Britain, Latvia, Finland and the USA.

Commenting, Paul Lewis, said: “The acquisition of Scott Pallets by BSW Timber, and the subsequent stake that they have gained in The Pallet LOOP presents us with an exciting opportunity. Scott Pallets is the engine room for the manufacture of our distinctive green pallets and its operations underpin our nationwide pallet recovery network. This acquisition extends Scott Pallet’s existing reach – making them, and a proportion our business, now part of a much larger global group.”

“Like The Pallet LOOP, BSW Timber and its parent companies have a clear commitment to sustainability and innovation. Like us, they don’t think in straight lines. They believe in circularity and in forging integrated supply chains that create value and enable long-term growth. With a common vision, to make the very best use of one of our planet’s most precious resources, this is positive news for The Pallet LOOP as we ready ourselves for operational roll out next year.”

The Pallet LOOP is a joint venture business. Paul and Ryan Lewis are majority stakeholders in the Pallet LOOP alongside Scott Group Investments and BSW Timber.
