The Pallet LOOP (part of BSW Group) will be taking to the Net Zero Hub stage at UK Construction Week in Birmingham at the start of October. Presenting alongside Saint-Gobain, the team will explain how its bright green reusable pallets and nationwide pallet collection service are delivering far more than just building materials for the construction sector.
On Thursday 3rd October at 10:15am, Nathan Wride, Head of Partnerships & Innovation at The Pallet LOOP, will explain the scale of the problem posed by pallets in the construction sector. He will outline the journey The Pallet LOOP team has been on over the past four years to deliver change. He’ll reveal the shift in behaviour that is now happening – thanks to the support and sustainable leadership of British Gypsum, part of the Saint-Gobain Group, which has become The Pallet LOOP’s first customer. He’ll also look at some of the benefits The Pallet LOOP is already delivering for the sector when it comes to driving down carbon emissions, reducing waste, and saving money.
Nathan will be joined on stage by Ian Argent, Supplier Development Manager Net Zero at Saint-Gobain, who will explain more about British Gypsum’s decision to move to The Pallet LOOP as part of its wider sustainability roadmap.
British Gypsum is now delivering all of its bagged plaster and a large proportion of its plasterboard products to its customers on The Pallet LOOP’s circular economy pallets. Once pallets are free of their load, builders’ merchants, principal contractors and housebuilding companies can contact The Pallet LOOP to book a collection and take advantage of a PayBack of up to £4 for every green pallet put back in the LOOP.
Nathan will also be supported at UK Construction Week by Charlie Law, Head of Construction and ESG at The Pallet LOOP.
