Business Development (Field based)
This role will be responsible for the execution of the Business Development plan. To effectively position LOOP as the only Net Zero deposit pallet solution for the construction sector. To enable the acceleration and delivery of the LOOP sales funnel versus incumbent solutions.
Prospecting and lead progression will be key, facilitated through a typical sales funnel. Progression of leads will be two-fold of both the head and heart. A natural charisma will be required to open doors and use all levels within a customer’s organisation to progress leads. Ultimately, you’ll need to be an inquisitive problem solver with a creative approach, as you’ll help move an industry from over 2,500 pallets specifications down to 10 specifications.
The role will require a willingness to immerse yourself in the construction supply chain, industry trends, ways of working and attending relevant events. You will use this industry knowledge and deep customer insight to develop the required strategies that will unlock opportunities for the LOOP business.
You’ll ideally be spending 80% of your time with potential customers. You’ll therefore need a natural tenacity and can-do attitude to work on and develop leads from prospect through to pallets being issued into the respective customers.
The role will suit an upbeat, can-do individual. Proficient in negotiation, with strong influencing skills and an ability to use all levels within an organisation to ensure the full value of the LOOP offer is understood and acknowledged by each functional customer department.
This role will be an integral member of the LOOP team from the outset. Not only will you be responsible for bringing new business in, but you’ll also help shape the LOOP business for the years to come, from strategy through to inputting into the design of our offices and fostering/developing an inclusive culture for all.
